]]>Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in late 2019, it has spread across the globe. As a result, various events have been affected due to health and safety concerns. Many sporting events have opted to close their arenas and stadiums, focusing on broadcast only. Several theme parks across Japan have temporarily closed. Concerts, conferences, and conventions have canceled and postponed. Project Anime has compiled an ongoing list of pop culture event statements, cancelations, postponements, and virtual event news; closures and cancellations in Japan; and updates from the Olympics.
This article will be updated regularly as the situation develops.
